Position: Head Greenkeeper

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the green keeping team at Ravensworth Golf Club.

We are currently seeking a Head Greenkeeper to lead our team of greenkeepers to help maintain our 18-hole parkland course.

The Candidate:

• The role is hands-on requiring combination of 'golf course' understanding, excellent interpersonal skills and an absolute focus on delivering to expectations.

• Must thrive working in club environment where need to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to defined objectives is key, whilst being diplomatic and inclusive.

• Should have ambition to push levels of attainment in every area that build known standing and reputation of Ravensworth GC in the regional area.

• Should be a proven leader with ability to work with wider management teams, for greater good of the Club

Experience, Skills and Competencies:

• 5 years' experience of golf course management

• Possess wealth of technical greenkeeping and agronomy skills together with impeccable standards of course preparation

• Have ability/experience to handle challenging situations in a calm, positive manner

• Have ability/experience to inspire/motivate team, all with differing outlooks and ambitions, to achieve objectives set by Club

• Have high standards of professionalism with strong (and clear) written and verbal communication skills while interacting internally and with third parties

• Have a methodical approach, an eye for detail and commitment to continuously deliver to highest standard

• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and application of health and safety, employment, and other legislation relevant to golf clubs

• Willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• Must hold a minimum qualification of level 3 NVQ or above in appropriate technical subject in turf science or equivalent



Remuneration:

Attractive salary package commensurate with experience and in line with CGCS recommended salaries for green staff.
